The Knotridge Report (New Horizons) released on 1 July 2010 reveals that the New Zealand aviation sector contributed NZ$9.7b in revenue including $3.8b in exports. The sector is conservatively forecasted to grow to $14.7b in 2015 with exports of $6.2b. The report is available here.

Initiatives with which Aviation NZ is involved include:
Market and sector focus. Priority markets have been determined – Vietnam, India, the South Pacific and China. Developmental work is to be initiated in South America. Priority sectors include training, MRO, services and airport fit-outs. There is sector focus within markets and market focus within sectors.
Regulatory Environment. We are keen to see a regulatory environment which supports commercial market development.
