Intergrating Companies into Global Supply Chains

Facilitating Regulatory Change

• sufficient medical examiners are appointed in key markets
• GST on international training contracts
• Address company market entry issues in Free Trade Agreements/Open Skies Agreements
  e.g. India NZ FTA EU/NZ Open Skies
• Progress regulatory convergence issues

Growing the New Zealand Aviation Profile

Improve the knowledge and awareness of New Zealand aviation industry capabilities in targeted international markets. This will support the activities of New Zealand companies overseas. International companies that become more aware of New Zealand capabilities will be encouraged to obtain product and service requirements from New Zealand.

Initiatives include:

• Developing a website with information on the capabilities of the aviation sector in New Zealand
• Linking the Aviation NZ website to other authoritative sites on the New Zealand aviation industry
• A trade fair programme which has included India Airport and Airline Expo, New Delhi, March 2008; ASPA, Nadi, Fiji in May 2008; AVEX, Hamilton, October 2008; ASPA, Christchurch, December 2008; and the Australian International Aerospace and Defence
• Mission to India 2 to 6 November 2009 and to the Pacific in September 2010
• New Zealand supplement in Aviation Business Oct/Nov 2008 and 2009
