Helicopters

The New Zealand helicopter industry has the capability and experience of operating single and twin engine helicopters, of up to 13,000 kg take off weight, in aerial work and air transport roles.

Operations regularly undertaken by New Zealand operators include passenger/tourist transport; logistical support for a wide variety of applications including forestry, building and construction, electricity, oil and gas projects; personnel and equipment transport for seismic survey, aerial surveys and data recording for asset protection and management (particularly for utility companies); fire fighting; and activities associated with farming, agriculture and horticulture. Such services are provided over land and water.

These tasks are undertaken day and night, IFR and VFR, using current generation helicopters and equipment.

New Zealand pilots, in many locations throughout Australia, the Pacific and Southeast Asia, set the benchmark for safe, efficient and cost effective delivery of helicopter services.
