CAA Certificates companies and organisations to operate under different Rule Parts.
Our membership is made up of:
Part 102 Unmanned Aircraft Operators. 139 CAA certificated of which 31 are members. UAVNZ members.
Part 135 Air Operations Helicopters and Small Aeroplanes. Information coming. Training and Development, Air Operations and NZHA members.
Part 137 Agricultural Aircraft Operators. 109 CAA certificated of which 43 are members. NZAAA members and NZHA members.
Part 141 Training Organisations. 43 CAA certificated of which 29 are members. Training and Development members.
Part 145 Maintenance Organisations. 50 CAA certificated of which 26 are members. Engineering and Supply members.
Part 146 Design Organisations. 10 NZ based CAA certificated of which 7 are members. Engineering and Supply members.
Part 147 Maintenance Training Organisations. 5 CAA certificated of which 4 are members. Training and Development members, Engineering and Supply members.
Part 148 Maintenance Organisations. 11 CAA certificated of which 8 are members. Engineering and Supply members.
General comments
Companies can hold more than one certification.
As a generalisation, the larger companies under each Rule Part belong to Aviation NZ. It is estimated, for example, that Aviation NZ members dispense up to 80% of the product dispensed by Part 137 operators. All of the companies funded by the Government to provide pilot training (Part 141) belong to Aviation NZ.
