This year, UAVNZ is hosting a virtual conference using the professional event management software, Whova. This is not your typical virtual conference as the platform facilitates networking activities, exhibitor stalls, live polling, and much more. We decided virtual was the best option because it keeps costs low for attendees and means that no travel is required. The morning plenary sessions explore the biggest challenges facing our sector and how we build a thriving uncrewed aviation sector in New Zealand. After a speed networking lunch, the afternoon breakout sessions provide a number of options for attendees, including a political panel and debate, sector specific discussion panels (e.g., forestry, agriculture, defence, photography/cinematography), and discussions on topical issues like advanced air mobility. UAVNZ and Aviation NZ members get a 20% discount on conference registrations, costing less than $100 per person.
